About Us

On-A-Whim is a private event venue located in the rolling ridges of historic Monroe County. We had an When we bought the property in 2015 we saw nothing but potential – through the weeds and the rubble we saw what could be, what would be. Our community gathered around us as we undertook the process of renovating and rejuvenating the once dilapidated barn on our property. We have spent days, weeks, and months pouring ourselves into this place, never imagining the group that would rally around us to support, encourage, and (quite literally) lend a helping hand.

 

All of the hard work, all of the long nights, are completely made worth it every time we enjoy a cup of coffee on the second story deck or watch a breeze move across the hills through the planted fields. And there is nothing, absolutely nothing that compares to the glow of a sunset reflecting off the chandelier above our dancefloor.

 

We strive to provide our guests with the same sense of awe and wonder we are lucky enough to experience every day. There is no reason a couple should have to sacrifice hopes and dreams on their special day, and here they won’t have to. We will do everything possible to accommodate guests and accomplish goals for the happy couple. Because, for us, as with everything we do, these events truly are a labor of love.
